About me

I am a junior at the College of Computer and Data Science, Fuzhou University. I plan to pursue a master’s degree through recommendation and hope to continue my studies in computer science.

My main interests lie in machine learning, deep learning, and large language models. I hope to further develop my research and engineering skills, and grow into a well-rounded computer science professional.

Research Experience

I am currently involved in an undergraduate research project titled “Research on Spine Segmentation Methods Based on Text-Image Multimodality.”

Through this project, I have self-studied the fundamentals of machine learning and deep learning, and can follow the key formulas and model architectures in research papers. I have also developed skills in literature search and academic paper reading. So far, I have reviewed several related papers, gained an understanding of the field’s development and representative models, and successfully reproduced the nnU-Net baseline on the SPIDER dataset.

Going forward, I plan to explore text prompt generation methods and investigate the application of large models in the medical domain.


Self-Assessment

  • Strengths: Solid foundation in mathematics and computer science. Proficient in C, C++, and Python, with the ability to complete algorithm training and basic development tasks.

  • Areas for Improvement: Limited hands-on project experience. Some technical knowledge remains theoretical, and I have yet to go through a full cycle of project development and deployment.

  • Areas of Interest: I am particularly interested in large model applications, computer vision, interdisciplinary AI applications, and federated learning. I also hope to gain more hands-on experience through real-world projects and bridge the gap between theory and practice.


Three-Year Plan

Over the next three years, my primary goal is to earn admission to a stronger program for graduate studies, where I can further develop my research and engineering capabilities.

  • Year 1: Build Foundations and Gain Research Experience

    Continue strengthening my knowledge in mathematics, algorithms, and core CS courses, while actively participating in research projects to improve my skills in paper reading, model reproduction, and experimental analysis.

  • Year 2: Clarify Direction and Improve Practical Skills

    Based on my research interests and project experience, I will narrow down my focus. If I lean towards research, I will prioritize paper implementation and academic writing; if I lean towards engineering, I will build my skills through project development and competitions.

  • Year 3: Reach Milestone Goals

    Aim to join a higher-level academic platform and develop a more complete skill set, whether in research or engineering, laying a solid foundation for my future career.
